Best Way To Use The Rewards

GemsSpend with a banner target in mind. Pulling randomly feels fun for one minute and painful for the next ten stages.
GoldUpgrade your carry first, then support units. A half-built squad clears slower than one scary damage dealer.
Trait rerollsSave the good stuff for units you plan to keep, especially carries, economy units, and evolution pieces.
BoostsPop them when you are ready to repeat a stage, not while you are still deciding what to farm.
